Let the choir sing at your wedding!

We regularly sing at weddings around the Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and County Durham areas. There will generally be 20 to 30 choir members (or fewer if required) and we are happy to sing for you at various points during your wedding service, for example- to entertain your guests before the bride arrives, as the bride walks up the aisle, during the signing of the register, as the happy couple walk down the aisle and as the guests leave, as well as joining in any hymns. This can be totally flexible, making your wedding service even more special. We are also able to sing at your wedding breakfast/reception instead, if that would suit your requirements better.

We have a wide range of songs suitable for weddings. Popular choices are Oh Happy Day, Higher and Higher, Great Day, Stand By Me, All You Need Is Love, Ave Maria (Beyoncé), Thinking Out Loud (Ed Sheeran), 1000 Years (Christina Perri). If you have a particular song that is special to you, we may be able to learn this and perform it for you, making your wedding unique.

We generally charge around £500, but this is negotiable, depending on requirements. If the wedding is outside of the Newcastle/Gateshead area, we also usually require a coach to transport the choir ( as a guide, in 2018 a coach cost £300 for a return journey up to 50 miles from Newcastle).

Please check with your celebrant that they are happy with an “outside” choir performing and that there is enough space for the choir to be seated and perform from (eg in choir stalls, transept, balcony etc).

We are generally available on Saturdays, Sundays and some Fridays – this is dependent on both our choir leader and sufficient choir members being available.

If you are considering booking the choir for your wedding, please contact us and include information such as day, date, time, location (include postal address), as well as any special music requests and we will get back to you to invite you along to listen to us at a rehearsal and for further discussion of your requirements.
